Christmas 2010

"Let it Snow" with sand and shells inside

As much as we are enjoying ourselves here in Florida, we do miss our seasons. I never realized how much seasons set the tone and mood for the holidays for me. Don and I talked about it and decided either we could go to the beach for Christmas or we could head home to winter. It didn't take too much to coax us to head for Illinois.

Ashley's family is currently living in Mom and Dave's house and remodeling while they are looking to build a new home. (They sold their house this fall.) So as funny as it sounds, I went to my old house for the holidays without any parents. Kind of strange.

We had a fun week with the Drowns clan though. We did lots of shopping, eating, playing games, watching old family videos, more shopping, and of course wrapping. Here are just a couple of Christmas pictures of our house this year as well as Christmas in Illinois.

These stockings Grandma Williams made for us last Christmas. We have a nice tree skirt that matches. Love them!

Mom brought us back real gold, frankincense and myrrh from Egypt as well as these hand crafted lamps. The bells I got in Washington on a trip but thought they looked nice here.

Our Nativity.

"Davis"

Our small three trees.

Our 2010 tree with lights and "Davis" sign in back.

Christmas Eve Dinner. We had a leg of lamb, potatoes, asparagus, and sweet rolls...Yummy!!

Haley got her much wished for cell phone!

Don picked out Parkers mitt and then to help shape the mitt he suggested they wrap it with three balls inside the mitt. They decided to sign the balls with famous ball players just to be funny. Of course the third and most important player who signed was yours truly, "Don Kent Davis, Jr."

Addison got his stuffed animal/pillow. Rodney (the dog) thanks Santa for a replacement. FYI: Poor Addison found out this year on Christmas day that Santa is his parents. Breaks your little heart. He was a trooper though.

Kinley, loving her new toy that makes lots of noises.

We gave the Drowns Family Ticket to Ride Europe this year. I think they have played every day at least once ever since.

Dave also got a really nice spice rack but opened it early to make dinner on Christmas Eve.
I realize now that we didn't take any pictures of us really for Christmas. We did get presents, mostly clothes, but I guess we were busy unwrapping and not picture taking.
